December is Missions Month
SUPPORT LOCALLY & GLOBALLY
During the month of December each year, we take a special offering to support the spread of Christianity both locally and around the world. Our offering this year will go to support International Mission Board as well as various community projects with organizations New Hope partners with in our area and in Mexico.
CHILDREN'S CHRISTMAS BLESSING
Once again, this Christmas, New Hope is working with International Network of Hearts to bless children who have been rescued from the nightmare of human trafficking. INH provides a safe home in Mexico where young people receive intensive case management, mental health counseling, medical and dental care, legal services, on-site schooling, career and job training, arts and recreation, and spiritual support. These specialized services are critical for young survivors to begin their healing process and to aid them in becoming successful and productive citizens. As you can imagine, it takes a lot of resources to provide all these services so we as the church are coming together to make Christmas joyous by providing gifts for the young people and the caregivers living at Casa del Jardin.
On Sunday November 28th and Sunday December 5th please stop by our table in the courtyard and pick a tag or two which will give a name and a gift from the kids' wish list. Then purchase the gift and return it to the church by December 12th. Please label the gift with the child's name. No need to wrap gifts because this makes it complicated to get over the border.
If you have further questions or concerns or want to ship a gift instead of having to get it back to church, please contact Amy Olson.
