We pray that you and your loved ones are well during this time of uncertainty and adversity. Our church staff met on Monday, 3/16/20, to discuss alternate plans for our programs and services at New Hope Church for the near future. The situation with the Coronavirus is still very fluid, and we are doing our best to adhere to government guidelines to aid in the battle.
Below are current updates to our regular operation at New Hope Church:
OUT OF AN ABUNDANCE OF CAUTION AND SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY, WE HAVE TEMPORARILY MOVED TO AN ONLINE-ONLY SERVICE FORMAT BEGINNING MARCH 16
We will be video recording the service and it will be available on YouTube by Sunday morning. We will send out the link to access it through various media (email, Facebook, and website) as soon as it is up and available for viewing.
We hope you will not only take the time to view the message on “How to Handle Adversity”, but also (if you are comfortable) take this opportunity to host small gatherings in your homes with your small groups, other church friends, and even friends that do not yet have a relationship with Jesus. This is a great opportunity for you to minister to your circles of influence, especially during this tough season!
We will be making future decisions on our on-site services week-to-week, and will update you accordingly via various types of media as mentioned above.
Because the mission of the church continues to move forward, we would like to encourage you to give online at https://www.newhopeeastlake.org/donate or through our New Hope Eastlake app. We depend on your generous gifts to fulfill the mission of spreading the Gospel throughout our community, as well as to pay for the day-to-day operation of the church.
Small Groups (Adult, Youth, Kids)
Effective immediately, we will not be hosting any small groups (adults, youth, or kids) on campus. We will continue to regularly monitor the situation with COVID-19 and are tentatively planning are to resume all small groups the week of March 29th.
Pastor Miles and our Student Life Group leaders (middle school and high school) will be meeting this evening to discuss opportunities for leaders and students to still meet (optionally) face-to-face and/or digitally this week. Student Life Groups are also tentatively scheduled to resume the week of March 29th. Please keep an eye out for communication from Pastor Miles (email@example.com) regarding updates to this ministry.
New Hope Afterschool
Starting Tuesday, March 17th, New Hope Afterschool classes are suspended with the exception of Archery and Golf classes held outside in our dirt lot. At this time, the next session is scheduled to resume on Monday, April 6th. Clint Taylor (firstname.lastname@example.org), New Hope Afterschool Director, will keep you updated with any changes as they become available.
New Hope Preschool
Starting Wednesday, March 18th, all New Hope Preschool classes are suspended. At this time, classes are tentatively scheduled to resume on Tuesday, April 7th. Tammy Marquez (email@example.com), New Hope Preschool Director, will keep you updated with any changes as they become available.
Spring Science Camp
Spring Science Camp has been cancelled. Jenny Cruz (firstname.lastname@example.org), Children’s Events Director, will be processing refunds for all registrations.
Upcoming Women’s Ministry Events- through the end of March
All upcoming Women’s Ministry Events (Ladies Bunco Night & Secret Sister Reveal) are postponed until further notice. Tonya Childers (email@example.com), Women’s Ministry Lead, will keep you updated with any changes as they become available. The Women’s Book Club will not be hosted on campus, but Tara Hines (firstname.lastname@example.org) is working on options to host this event remotely. She will provide the link to those that have signed up already.
Discover New Hope
Our regularly scheduled Discover New Hope event on March 29th will be postponed until next month.
As we continue to process all that is happening in the world around us, please continue to remain calm and pray.
