Showcase is held during the last week of class.
Classes are held at New Hope Community Church unless otherwise noted. Archery & Golf are held outdoors.
$140* fee covers the whole session, regardless of the number of classes in that session.

Introduction to archery teaches fundamentals of the sport. Safety skills are emphasized as a major priority. Students are also prepared for high level training. This is a great opportunity for the whole family!
About the Instructor: Shane Jost has been shooting for over a decade, and has practiced both traditional and competitive archery styles. He has been studying aviation at Miramar College, and aspires to join the Air National Guard as a pilot.
Exciting opportunity for students to be introduced to the game of golf. The class will help students learn and apply basic golf technique to iron shots, chipping, pitching, and putting. Equipment is provided. Classes take place at local golf courses.
Please note: There is also an additional $35 green fee for this class.
About the instructor: "Coach" Paul Daniels has been teaching and coaching in the South Bay communities since 1970. Aside from golf, he's also taught strength & fitness training, volleyball, soccer, swimming and football.
This class teaches the fundamentals of hip hop movement for students ages 5-13. They are upbeat, fun, and high energy. Stretching, rhythms, body isolation, upper body strength, and footwork will be incorporated. Students will memorize choreography by working on combinations each class.
About the instructor: Abby Roldan has a strong background in hip hop and musical theater, loves sharing that passion with students through creative movement and performance. Her hobbies include running, spending time outdoors, and listening to music.
This Musical Theater class is a unique combination of acting, dancing, and singing, designed to give students a dynamic overview of the performing arts while allowing them to create, perform, and express themselves.

Children will explore the world of robotics as they build LEGO® models that teach the fundamentals of robotic design and coding. Each week, students build a new animal-inspired robot — a fish, alligator, puppy, or frog — learning about mechanical movement, habitats, and the basic needs of different animals along the way.
*This speciality class costs $150 for the whole session.
About the instructor: Amaya Watson is a Snapology-certified instructor with a passion for hands-on, play-based learning. She specializes in bringing robotics and STEAM concepts to life for young learners through creative, collaborative activities that spark curiosity and build confidence.

About the instructor: Lisa Cobb is a Visual Arts instructor who helps children build confidence through crafting and art-making. She has been with New Hope After School for over 10 years! She plans a variety of projects each session, offering a chance to explore materials and techniques that some children have never tried before.
